2023

August 2023

  • Updated ArangoGraph Professional and Enterprise to On-Demand and Committed, respectively. All customers now have standard support included and access to functionality that was previously Enterprise only, including:
    • Single Sign On (SSO)
    • Private Endpoints
  • Updated the deployment models for ArangoGraph to simplify the experience for users. When you select a specific deployment size (e.g. A4), all disk and CPU-related settings will be set for you automatically
  • Improved and modernized the look-and-feel of the ArangoGraph UI
  • Increased maximum deployment size to 64 nodes
  • Improved the first-time experience for adding a payment method to your account to better guide you on the necessary steps
  • Added ability to set groups as default groups for any newly invited users, greatly simplifying the user onboarding experience
  • Adds ArangoDB 3.10.10 as an available version for deployments in ArangoGraph; 3.10.9 has been removed as a selectable version
  • Adds ArangoDB 3.11.3 as an available version for deployments in ArangoGraph; 3.11.12 has been removed as a selectable version

July 2023

  • Improved resource scheduling so that co-ordinators and db servers on larger deployments (A8+) more effectively utilize the CPU resources available to them
  • Updated the “Developer (beta)” deployment type to “Single Server” to better reflect the intended use case, and to clarify its supported status
  • Updated the ArangoGraph Notebooks look-and-feel to better align with the rest of the ArangoGraph UI
  • Adds ArangoDB 3.10.9 as an available version for deployments in ArangoGraph; 3.10.8 has been removed as a selectable version
  • Adds ArangoDB 3.11.2 as an available version for deployments in ArangoGraph; 3.11.1 has been removed as a selectable version

June 2023

  • Adds automatic database login, new deployments will automatically share ArangoGraph authentication for the database UI, removing the need to log in separately. This behavior can be disabled on a per-deployment basis if needed.
  • Adds AWS Sydney as a supported region
  • Automatically pauses any running deployments if an invoice has been outstanding for over 14 days
  • Enables cross-zone traffic for Private Endpoints to remove the requirement of overlapping availability zones between ArangoGraph deployments and customer VPCs
  • Allow users to enable/disable login via Single Sign On (SSO) explicitly using oasisctl and the public API
  • Uses the more performant Azure SSD v2 in all regions that support it, providing superior disk performance to ArangoGraph customers in Azure
  • Adds ArangoDB 3.10.8 as an available version for deployments in ArangoGraph; 3.10.6 has been removed as a selectable version

May 2023

  • Adds support for the simplified ArangoGraph Migration Tool, removing the requirement for the self-managed deployment to be directly contactable by the ArangoGraph deployment
  • Sets any new payment methods as the default when adding them
  • Added emails to inform users if their deployment is experiencing resource contention, specifically if CPU usage is high or there have been out-of-memory issues
  • Removes the ability to launch ArangoDB 3.8.x clusters in accordance with the end of life of 3.8
  • Adds ArangoDB 3.10.6 as an available version for deployments in ArangoGraph; 3.10.5 has been removed as a selectable version

April 2023

  • Adds automated ArangoDB version upgrades to ArangoGraph, following the ArangoGraph Versioning Policy, ensuring customers benefit from the latest bug fixes and improvements
  • Improvements made to networking subsystem provide a latency improvement of between 10-30% (depending on the specific workload)
  • Adds email alerts for out-of-memory issues and high CPU usage for deployments in ArangoGraph, allowing customers to react to undersizing of deployments
  • Adds end-to-end authentication to ArangoGraph notebooks, removing the need to sign in separately to notebooks. Users are now automatically authenticated to notebooks using their ArangoGraph user, provided they have the notebook.execute permission assigned
  • Removes deprecated port 8840, metrics and notebooks are now served from port 8829

March 2023

  • Adds ArangoDB 3.8.9 as an available version for deployments in ArangoGraph; 3.8.8 has been removed as a selectable version
  • Adds ArangoDB 3.9.10 as an available version for deployments in ArangoGraph; 3.9.9 has been removed as a selectable version
  • Adds ArangoDB 3.10.5 as an available version for deployments in ArangoGraph; 3.10.4 has been removed as a selectable version
  • Increases the idle timeout for incoming ArangoGraph connections to 10 minutes to better allow for long running queries. If your query exceeds 10 minutes, then we recommend using an asynchronous query API
  • Updates the Python driver example to use Python-Arango, rather than PyArango

February 2023

  • Simplifies the first-time sign up experience
  • Adds ArangoDB 3.10.4 as an available version for deployments in ArangoGraph; 3.10.3 has been removed as a selectable version

  • Adds Okta as an SSO provider within ArangoGraph. Enterprise customers can contact Support to enable SSO
  • Adds ArangoDB 3.10.2 as an available version for deployments in ArangoGraph

  • Limits the selectable versions for new deployments in ArangoGraph to only the latest patch releases for each minor version (e.g. 3.10.2, 3.9.7)
