Max Neunhöffer is a mathematician turned database developer. In his academic career, he has worked for 16 years on the development and implementation of new algorithms in computer algebra.
After more than 30 years of playing around with 8 bit computers, assembler and scripting languages, Jan decided to move on to work in database engineering. Jan is now a senior C/C++ developer with the ArangoDB core team, being there from version 0.1.
Matthew is another C/C++ developer and a Senior Architect @ ArangoDB. His prior experience includes Basho Technologies, Akamai, and Intuit. Work has ranged from 4-bit microcontrollers to 30+ server DB clusters.
Core C/C++ developer
Dan is a C/C++ developer with the ArangoDB core team. He has worked on the storage engines, caching system, and performance testing and optimization. If it involves non-trivial data structures, he’s interested.
Senior Software developer
Ewout is an all-round senior software developer / entrepreneur who loves to solve complex technical problems to make life easier for real end users. Having seen lots of programming languages, he prefers to use whatever language fits the problem at hand.
Kaveh, Master in theoretical physics in Cologne, Zuerich and Bonn. Ph.D. in physics. Joined ArangoDB after medical imaging research and lecturing at Juelich Research Center, RWTH Aachen University, Maastricht University and New York University. He joined ArangoDB in 2016 as a core software engineer. He has been responsible for the development of core facilities in the ArangoDB cluster; among them the consensus infrastructure.
Head of Engineering and Machine Learning
Jörg Schad is Head of Machine Learning at ArangoDB. In a previous life, he has worked on or built machine learning pipelines in healthcare, distributed systems at Mesosphere, and in-memory databases. He received his Ph.D. for research around distributed databases and data analytics. He’s a frequent speaker at meetups, international conferences, and lecture halls.
