Graph & Beyond Lunch Break #8: Introduction to ArangoBnB

In this Graph and Beyond Lunch Break, Developer Relations Engineer Chris Woodward provides a peek at the ArangoBnB project being created with the community.

ArangoBnB is a Fullstack JavaScript web app that is being developed to showcase the upcoming ArangoSearch GeoJSON features. The frontend uses the VueJS framework, by popular vote from the community. There is also a React frontend being developed in parallel by members of the community.

In this session, Chris shares how we:

  • Leverage a real-world AirBnB dataset
  • Implemented an interactive map using Leaflet
  • Use the new geo analyzer to find results based on the map position
  • Use primarySort and other ArangoSearch features to make our results quick
